You Can Count on Monsters, a new book by Richard Evan Schwartz, is a fun new way to for kids to learn about prime numbers! I will admit - I was expecting a short picture book when I first heard about this title, but I was surprised to find that it is a longer, information-filled volume!
When you pick up this book, you are presented with the definition of prime numbers and a collection of "prime monsters." Once you have become aquainted with these colorful creatures, head on a journey with them as you learn about how prime numbers work together. There is a monster for every number, one through one hundred, and each one has its own page in the book. It's a brand new way to learn about prime numbers! I feel like I learned a lot myself! Prime numbers can be hard for kids to remember, but when they're learning with the monsters, it will seem like a treasure hunt to find out how every number is created.
If you're looking for a fun and interactive way to help kids learn about math - especially prime numbers and multiplication, you defnitely want to check out You Can Count on Monsters! You'll never look at math the same way again!
