Children's Book Review: Really Woolly Little Book of Bible Verses

The Really Woolly Little Book of Bible Verses is a great little book. Each page has a poem, a Bible verse (International Children's Version), and a couple questions for your child. For example, one page has a poem called "Forgive Each Other" with the verse Ephesians 4:32, and then two questions: "When someone says, 'I'm sorry,' do you say, 'I forgive you'?" and "Do you know why that's the best thing to do?" These simple questions will help your child (and even you) consider the meaning behind the verses.

The illustrations are adorable also. There are three characters on each page in some sort of situation that relates to the poem, verse, and questions. On the first page, the verse is Psalm 119:105 "Your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my way." The sheep, rabbit and duckling are holding hands and the sheep is leading with a flashlight. On the page described above about forgiveness, the sheep and rabbit are playing baseball, and it appears that sheep got hit in the head with the baseball. Overall, these images are cute, and the poems and verses are applicable.

I love the board book format - L is chewing on everything right now, but he hasn't been able to damage this book!  Bedtime is kind of dramatic these days due to teething, but we love reading him stories before bed and this is one of the books stashed in his room in case his mood is good at night.  :)

Right now you can purchase the Really Woolly Little Book of Bible Verses for $9.99 on Amazon - it would make a great stocking stuffer for the little ones in your family!

Thanks to Thomas Nelson Publishing for my review sample!  I received no other compensation and all views expressed are my own!
