Ask anyone with a baby...things don't necessarily always go according to plan.
For me, while expecting L, I didn't expect to have severe morning sickness that lasted almost into my third trimester. I was knocked flat on my back. So once he was born, I don't know why I expected everything to be simple. I should have known! I was very committed to breastfeeding, but it took 8 weeks for the little guy to figure it out.
