Looking for a fun free (and educational) event to attend with the kids? Mid-Continent Public Library is hosting a program entitled Weather, Wise and Wonderful! Here's the description from MCPL's website:
Understand meteorologists' fascination with the clouds. Explore the forces that create tornadoes. Have a hair raising experience creating your own lightning. Come and enjoy this and more with "Weather, Wise, and Wonderful", presented by Mad Science and special guest Katie Horner.
This program will be presented several times over the next few weeks. Here are the dates and locations:
Buckner - May 7, 2011 - 2:00pm
Raytown - June 11, 2011 - 10:00am
Boardwalk - June 25, 2011 - 10:00am
North Independence - July 15, 2011 - 10:00am
Liberty - July 23, 2011 - 10:00am
