Review: Deluxe Super Mario Bros Mario Costume

It's-a me, Mario!  I recently had the chance to review a costume from Wholesale Halloween Costumes.  Wholesale Halloween Costumes offers a wide variety of costumes for adults, children, and pets.  Shipping is a reasonable $5.90 no matter how big your order is - so you can stock up for the whole family!

When I asked my hubby which costume he thought we should review, he agreed that the Deluxe Super Mario Bros Mario Costume looked like fun!  We're pretty fond of Mario around our house, since L's nursery is decorated with a Nintendo theme.


L seemed to think Daddy looked pretty awesome in this outfit.

The Deluxe Super Mario Bros Mario Costume includes a Jumpsuit, Inflatable Belly, Mustache, Hat, and Gloves.  The jumpsuit is made of polyester and has a velcro closure in the back.  It is available in sizes Small, Medium, and Large.  We ordered a size Large for hubby and it is a snug fit - but since he's a big guy (6'3"), it seemed about right.  The hat is made of foam and has a great shape - not floppy at all.  The belly took just a few minutes to inflate and it adds great character to the costume.  While the mustache looks fantastic, hubby said it was kind of hard to talk while wearing it.  But since Mario spends most of his time taking out Goombas and Koopa Troopas, it shouldn't be a problem.  :)

The costume overall is colorful and exciting.  Since it is a lightweight polyester, it is great for a costume party or Halloween event, but if we were to spend Halloween evening outside, I suspect hubby may wear another layer beneath the jumpsuit.  I love that the costume comes with the necessary accessories of gloves and mustache - Mario wouldn't look right without them.  We were pleased with the costume - now we just have to decide what Mommy and L should be for Halloween! 

We realized after taking the photos that the inflatable belly should have been worn under the t-shirt, thus the white "apron" look in the photos.  Whoops!
