Book Review: Xander Nash Series (Great for Kids!)

The Xander Nash series follows ten-year old Alexander (as his mom calls him) and his dog, Mutts, as they get blown literally into ancient times. The series follows Xander and Mitts as they adventure in Bible times and meet all sorts of fascinating people. In the first book, In the Beginning, Xander finds himself in the Garden of Eden with none other than Adam and Eve. He is sold into slavery with Joseph in the second book, Sibling Rivalry. And in the third adventure, Let My People Go, he joins Moses on a quest to save the Israelites. During each of his travels, Xander learns important lessons that he is able to utilize once he returns home to his family.

These books, published by Creation by Design, are written for very young readers and will help them practice their reading skills. Xander Nash also gives kids a unique look at Biblical characters and how to relate to them. I also liked how in the illustrations, most everything and everyone is animated with computer graphics, while Xander and Mitts are traditional two-dimensional characters. Fun and easy-to-read, these books are great for youngsters.
