Free Event - Heart of America Shakespeare Festival Presents Macbeth

The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival always puts on an excellent show. My favorite experience there was seeing Much Ado About Nothing (one of my favorite Shakespeare works). This group began performing free shows in 1993. This year, the Shakespeare Festival is proud to present the classic Macbeth. Shows begin nightly at 8:00 PM (gates open at 6:00 PM) and run from June 14 to July 3. Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's most popular tragedies (right after the ever-popular Romeo & Juliet). The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival takes place in Southmoreland Park in KCMO. Prior to the show each night there is pre-show entertainment for the whole family. This annual festival is a great way to get the whole family involved and expose your children to fine live professional-quality performances.

You can find more information on the festival at KCShakes.org.
