I'll be honest - it's been several weeks since I've managed to drag myself, the baby, and all the coupons out to snag all the deals I keep telling you about. Finally this week I psyched myself up, made a list, packed up everything and headed out to hit up the drugstores!
Walgreens -
Transaction 1:
Items I Purchased:
Pampers Baby Dry Diapers, size 2
SoBe Life Water
Total Price before Coupons: $9.98 (sale prices; retail value $12.98)
Coupons Used:
- $1.50/1 Pampers Diapers, exp 6-30-11 (P&G 06/05/11)
- $9.50 in Register Rewards (from a very quick transaction last week)
Total w/ tax after coupons: $.48
Register Rewards Earned:
- $1.00 from Pampers
- $.99 from SoBe Water
There was a problem with the register and the Register Rewards - the cashier told me that buying the SoBe water cancelled out the RR from the Pampers. I persisted until I got the full amount of RR's, but it took calling a manager, cancelling and redoing my transaction, and probably fifteen minutes to get it right. :\
Transaction 2:

M&M's 14oz bag - 4

Starbucks Ice Cream - 2
Total Price before Coupons: $15.98 (sale prices; retail value $27.13)
Coupons Used:
- $1/2 M&Ms from Walgreens June Coupon Book
- $1.50/2 M&Ms Bag, exp. 7/3/11 (RP 05/22/11)
- $1/1 Starbucks Ice Cream, exp. 6/19/11 (RP 05/22/11)
- $1.98 in Register Rewards (from first transaction)
Total w/ tax after coupons: $5.71
Register Rewards Earned:
- $.99 from SoBe Water
Final cost after both transactions including earned RR's: $5.20
Total Savings (off retail value): $34.91 or 87%!

ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened to me with the Sobe Register Rewards and Pampers. It really made me mad. I just don't think they had it set up right. I had to sit there and go through the cashier and a manager both times at two different stores to get my 1.00 RR back. Independence Wags annoy me.
