The Legends: Holiday Lighting Extravaganza, Saturday 11/19
2011 will be the seventh annual Legends Outlets Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 19th. The ceremony is at 7:00PM, but there are plenty of other festivities going on! The Legends Shopping Center (located just west of Kansas City) is a wonderful retail center that is offering this FREE family-friendly event.
At 6:00PM, Santa will arrive - by helicopter! - and your kids can get their picture taken with him until 6:45PM when the countdown begins for the lighting ceremony. Lively holiday music will enthrall you while you are there also - from 6:00 to 8:00PM, local bands and musicians will be playing all of your favorites (with a break included for the actual lighting ceremony). After the ceremony, Santa will head over to Books-A-Million to talk to all of the kids about their wish lists. All photo events are FREE and parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras.
Santa, along with NBC Meteorologist Brett Anthony, will emcee the event. Your family will love seeing the thousands of bright and beautiful lights on the tree illuminate. The lights are choreographed to holiday favorites. Come out and see one of Kansas City's finest tree lightings.
And don't miss the Country Club Plaza Lighting Ceremony on Thanksgiving Day)!
