If you weren't already planning to check out Rhea Lana's of Overland Park, I have an idea you'll be changing your mind when you see the photos below.
I had quite the eventful time getting to and from the sale today. My car decided to overheat on the way there (thankfully not until I was almost in the parking lot). L and I unpacked all our gear and headed in to the sale - while I called for a tow truck. Let me tell you, if I had to have car trouble, having it while at a consignment sale was about the best solution ever. Instead of waiting outside in the heat, L and I got to search out some fantastic bargains!
The sale I attended was the pre-sale for Rhea Lana's of Overland Park. I was greeted at the door with friendly smiles from the volunteers.
I first checked out the racks of little boy's clothing. My kiddo has a well-stocked wardrobe, thanks to all the consignment sales I visit, but I am a sucker for cute jammies. And overalls. And sweaters. And, yes, basically anything with a dinosaur on it.
Need a Bumbo? Quite a stash ready and waiting for eager shoppers!
There is a huge rack of just costumes! With Halloween right around the corner, it's perfect timing. You may even find your child's dream costume!
Anyone need baby gear? I'm thinking you may find what you're looking for!

All around - a great sale experience. These photos only show a small portion of all of the goodies you will find at this sale. I saw books, toys, games, maternity clothes, bedding, safety gates, decor...yes, basically everything you could possibly need!
There are also some great vendors on site. I was especially excited to find out about Fresh Milk Boutique - a new shopping destination designed just for nursing mommies! Kansas City definitely needed something like this - yay! Fresh Milk Boutique carries products such as Milk Nursingwear, Chewbeads, Undercover Mama (I wear this every day - read my review here), and more.

Overall, I would estimate the total retail value of all of my items to be around $260. My cost? Just $84! That's a savings of 68%!

I will have this sale on my calendar every fall and spring after my great experience this week. Bought a Jeep brand baby jogger for $60 that retails for close to $200! Coming from the northland but will happily make the drive for deals like that!
