Are you looking for a way to enrich your body and your spirit?
The Runner's Devotional might be the answer for you. Written by Dana Niesluchowski and Dave Veerman,
The Runner's Devotional is a 52-week weekly devotional. But in addition to being a devotional, it also includes tips on running, as well as a time-table for running a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full-marathon. Each weeks' devotional includes a narrative section, a personal story, a running tip and a journaling entry as well as a running log for the week. This devotional book will help you keep your body, soul and mind fit.

and I already feel great. I am working towards the beginner's marathon training plan. I like to just sit down and read each devotional in one sitting during the week (though the introduction explains how you could use it as a daily devotional also). So far, the very first chapter has been the most influential for me. It is entitled "Determine Your Purpose." Most of the time when I run it is just "exercise" or "because I want to be in shape." I haven't really had any real purpose. It has been very helpful to just write out exactly what my purpose in my exercise is - it really helps as motivation. Hopefully, I will be able to run a marathon someday too.
