Pizza Hut has launched its 2012 World Hunger Relief campaign and and want you to join the global movement to end hunger.

By donating just a few dollars you would be amazed at how much that helps.  $1 (feeds four children), $3 (feeds two children for a week), $5 (feeds a child for a month) and $10 (feeds an entire classroom for a day).  The donations can be made on the Pizza Hut website as well as at your nearest location.

Those who donate $3, $5 or $10 online at PizzaHut online will receive a free two week trial subscription for Hulu Plus. To find out more about this deal, visit PizzaHut.com/Hulu. 

Since World Hunger Relief launched in 2007, more than one million of the Company’s employees, franchisees and their families have volunteered millions of hours to aid hunger relief efforts in communities worldwide. The effort has raised $115 million for WFP and other hunger relief organizations and is helping to provide 460 million meals and save the lives of millions of people in remote corners of the world.

This promotion runs through November 3rd so order some pizza and help someone else at the same time.

Nominate a Deserving KC Family for a FREE Roof from Gahagan-Eddy

Do you know a family in Kansas City in need of a new roof?  Local building and roofing company Gahagan-Eddy is giving away a FREE roof to a family in need in celebration of their 10 years of business in Kansas City.

Nominations will be accepted through Saturday, March 31.  Roof problems that may qualify a home include deterioration, leaks, algae, poor installation, neighborhood aesthetic, blow-offs, hail damage and wildlife or insect issues.  The giveaway is open to homeowners who are deserving of a new roof because of a medical situation, military service, general hardship, or because of community involvement and service to others.

Pay It Forward to Military Families with Huggies® Camo Diapers

Here is a great way to pay it forward to a military family in need!  Huggies® and Walmart have partnered with Operation Homefront - and they need your help!
Here's what you can do:

Visit the Huggies® Camo site and Create a Camo Card (a thank you card to those who serve).  For each Camo Card created, Huggies® will donate a diaper to a military family. Each submission also goes towards the ultimate goal of 500,000 diapers donated!  So far, over 250,000 diapers have been donated!  I am about to head over and add one to the number myself!

Huggies® Limited Edition Camo Diapers are available for purchase at Walmart.  For each purchase, Huggies will donate to Operation Homefront, which provides emergency assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors.

Massage Envy: Guinness World Record-Breaking Event Planned for Saturday, 9/17

Here's an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new Guinness World Record!  If you live here in Kansas City, mark September 17 on your calendar!

Massage Envy will be at the Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox baseball game at Kauffman Stadium.  The plan is to break the Guinness World Record for most people being massaged at one time.  The current record is 263 massages at once (in Australia) - but Massage Envy hopes to break the record with 500 people!  Massage Envy locations in Missouri and Kansas are participating in this event - as well as locations from states far away such as Virginia and Texas!  The event will take place between 5-6pm, preceeding the game.

If you want to take part - here are some details.  Tickets cost $25 and include admission to the Royals game, a yoga mat, snacks, and of course - the thrill of being part of a world record with a 10-minute massage!  To purchase tickets, head here.  Proceeds from the event will go to the Arthritis Foundation - so this is also a way to pay it forward!  You can find more information and clinic locations at Massage Envy KC or by calling (913) 643-1430.  Pre-registration is required.

An introductory one-hour massage session at Massage Envy costs $49. Memberships are available for $59 per month and include a one-hour massage session - plus members can enjoy unlimited additional one-hour massage sessions at the $39 member rate.  If, like me, you don't have much experience having massage therapy, you may want to note that tips are also encouraged and Massage Envy's suggested rate begins at $12 for a one-hour session.
