BabyBond Nursing Sash Review + Giveaway

When I found out L was on the way (almost a year ago!), I knew right off the bat that I would plan to breastfeed.  It was a decision I remained committed to through months of severe nausea and - once L arrived - weeks of trials as the two of us figured out how nursing worked.  Many people told me that breastfeeding is "easy and natural" - this was not the case for us in the early weeks.  Thankfully we persevered and are past that now - and yes, I am still happy with my decision.

Something I've discovered along this journey is that it's hard to have a perfect solution when nursing in public.  I am a very modest person, so I don't feel comfortable nursing unless I have some sort of cover.  I've used a couple different styles and have had moderate success, but I'm always on the lookout for a "better option."

Enter the BabyBond nursing sash!  It's different than a normal nursing cover because it allows you to breastfeed modestly while still maintaining eye contact with baby.  There's no need for a cover that causes baby to get overheated (which will be especially nice in the coming summer months, I'm sure).  L is reaching the stage where he's more interested in the world around him than anything - so I know if I'm using a regular nursing cover, he's going to be doing his best to get out from under it and see what's going on.

BabyBond is available in three different styles: Original, Flex, and Couture.  I chose the Couture style as it can be worn for easy nursing access from the top or bottom of your shirt.  When I'm nursing at home, it's usually easiest to just lift my shirt - so I wanted to be able to maintain the same "at home" comfort level with this sash.  There are several colors to choose from in each design, so you're sure to find a sash that fits "you."

When I first got out my BabyBond to use it, I will admit it took me awhile to figure out how it should be worn.  Watching the online video demo was definitely helpful!  It takes some practice to become comfortable with putting on the sash quickly, but if you're looking for a modest way to nurse your baby without a cover, I think it's definitely worth a try.

You can find more information about BabyBond, or order your own nursing sash on their website.  BabyBond is generously offering My Kansas City Mommy readers a discount of 25% off any purchase!  To get this discount, just enter the code KANSAS at checkout!
