The GRIPSTIC is a new way to seal bags. Basically, it is a long thing strip of plastic like a straw (but sturdier). Inside is a yellow guide stick. When I first saw The GRIPSTIC, my immediate thought was that it was probably another useless gadget that doesn’t work nearly as well or easily as it implies. Yet I was very pleasantly surprised. I received three Gripstics of varying sizes. I figured I would give them a shot. I got out a bag of chips. The top was all scrunched together with a chip-clip forced over the mess. I took off the chip-clip (and ate a few chips). Then I tried the “3 Easy Steps.”

Step 1: Fold and crease the open end of bag. Place the yellow guide under the fold.
Step 2: Slide the GRIPSTIC across the top, making sure the bag feeds between the guide and outer sleeve.
Step 3: Center the GRIPSTIC on the bag to ensure a tight seal.
And it really
is just that easy. I sealed my bag of chips and then moved on to a smaller bag of nuts (which I find notoriously annoying to use a chip-clip on) and it worked perfectly. I used my third and final GRIPSTIC on a bag of cheese on which the seal was broken. No need to put the broken bag into a Ziploc bag anymore. The GRIPSTIC really is very convenient and easy to use. I'm excited about this very user-friendly product that hardly takes up any extra space in my kitchen! If you're looking for a great new alternative to the traditional chip clip - GRIPSTIC is definitely for you!
