The GIANTMicrobes Family

GIANTMicrobes are exactly what their title implies: giant versions of tiny microbes! GIANTMicrobes have been providing plush education and entertainment since 2002. There are curently over 80 microbes in the collection. The latest ones, in honor of the spring and summer seasons, are Hay Fever and Tick. Each plush microbes comes with information on and a microscopic image of the real microbe.

We were sent two sample GIANTMicrobes for review. My favorite is Penicillin, while my hubby likes the Stem Cell. Penicillin is described on the website as "the little blue fungus that could." The Stem Cell is referred to as "the body's dreamer" because "it can grow up to be whatever it wants to be." They are absolutely adorable! One thing that I really love about the GIANTMicrobes is how each character actually looks like the microbe. As shown above (penicillin), the website shows an image of the actual microbe and how its design is used to create the character. How fun is that?!

GIANTMicrobes also offers a variety of other products including neckties (would make a great late-Father's Day gift), vinyl figures, petri dishes (3 mini microbes), clothing, a soap dispenser and more! GIANTMicrobes would make great gifts for any occasion - whether you want to give someone a Brain Cell for their graduation, Mono for their birthday, or The Flu for Christmas, there's a GIANTMicrobe for every occasion.

Especially keep these in mind if you know someone in the medical field...when I showed my microbes to a nurse friend of mine, she thought they were one of the funniest things ever!
