VeggieTales Live: Sing Yourself Silly DVD Review + Giveaway

VeggieTales Live! Sing Yourself Silly is the most fun I have had in ages!  It's been years since I've watched a Veggie Tales movie, but this one has reminded me how much fun they are!  I can't wait until L is old enough to enjoy them, because at least people won't think it's odd if I'm constantly singing the songs. 

VeggieTales Live! Sing Yourself Silly is a recording of the live touring show that traveled the US last fall.  While the show claims to cover "The Top 10 Silliest Songs," there are actually 18 live songs (and most of them seem pretty silly to me).  Covering songs of classic silliness such as The Song of the Cebu and Barbara Manatee, plus a few "lesson songs" and some surprises from the '80's (Gourds Just Want to Have Fun, anyone?), this DVD encompasses fun and silliness and will have the whole family singing and dancing.  Since it is a live show, you are able to watch the kids in the audience be thoroughly entertained.  It looks to me like most of the audience members spent the show dancing in the aisles - such fun!

The DVD features the option to pick your favorite song, sing titles in a sing-along (selected songs), play trivia, and more!  Overall I found it a delightful pick and will for sure be entertaining L with all of these silly songs!

I just have one question for all of you VeggieTales fans out there - can you recite the crazy long run-on sentence from I Love My Lips? 

Ten days after I turned eight, got my lip stuck in a gate!  My friends all laughed...and I just stood there until the fire department came and broke the lock with a crowbar and I had to spend the next six weeks in a lip rehab with this kid named Oscar who got stung by a bee - right on the lips! - and we couldn't even talk to each other until the fifth week 'cuz both of our lips were SO swollen but when he did start speaking, he just spoke Polish and I only know like three words in Polish except now...I know four because Oscar taught me the word for lip: Oosta!

You may not believe me.  But I just typed that from memory.  Promise!
